Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man who suspected his wife was cheating on him is now facing charges after assaulting her and a neighbor.

Police say 31-year-old James Conway says he discovered his wife was not in their apartment early Monday and decided to check to see where she was. Conway says he heard her voice in another apartment and suspected she was “making out” with a man. Conway entered the apartment through a window and confronted the two. Police say he assaulted the man and his wife and fled but was apprehended Tuesday.

His wife told officers the man she was with is a co-worker and they were just  “ talking and drinking.“ Conway told police he knew his reaction was not reasonable but it was “a matter of the heart. “

He was arraigned Wednesday and bail was set at $35,000.
