Rochester Man Suffers Fractured Skull in Weekend Attack
Rochester,MN (KROC AM News) - Police have released more information concerning an assault of a 27 year old Rochester man who suffered a serious head injury early Saturday after being attacked near the 2nd St SW fire station.
Police Captain John Sherwin says the man went to a residence at a Cascade Lake area townhome/apartment complex after getting a call from his mother about a loud party. Sherwin says after the man asked people at the party to hold down the noise, several came out and assaulted him. The victim also suffered a fractured skull after apparently being hit by a bottle.
He was able to drive himself to St. Mary’s. Sherwin says he was in surgery most of Saturday so investigators were not able to interview him.
A Mayo Clinic spokeswoman said there is no information concerning his medical condition as of Monday morning.
