Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) – A Rochester man who was arrested over the weekend for possessing drugs reportedly told the arresting officer he intended to sell the methamphetamine to pay his child support.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office Capt. Scott Behrns says a patrol deputy spotted 31-year-old Joshua Mourning sitting in a vehicle in Marion around 3:00 AM Saturday.

The deputy was aware a warrant had been issued for Mourning’s arrest because of missed child support payments. The deputy searched the car and found three baggies of meth with a total weight of nearly 35 grams. Behrns says the meth has an estimated street value of $3,000.
