Rochester Man Involved in Fatal Pedestrian Incident
Undated (KROC AM News) - A Rochester man struck and killed a pedestrian late Sunday night in Lake of the Woods County in northwest Minnesota.
36-year-old Jon Haney told police he spotted the man kneeling on the road near Lake of the Woods and swerved but could not avoid hitting him. The name of the 39-year-old Baudette man has not been released yet. The incident happened on a rural road around 11:30 p.m.
A few hours earlier, a man was struck by a vehicle while running across Highway 13 in Burnsville. He later died. The man was identified as 45-year-old Juan Morales-Castro of Burnsville.
