Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) -  A Rochester man has been charged with sexually assaulting a woman he had been drinking with earlier this month.

The woman told police she was drinking beer with 55-year-old Monte Mancini on Jan. 8th. She decided to go home and says Mancini followed her. The woman says when she arrived home, she was pushed, fell to the ground and hit her head. The woman says another man who was with Mancini left. The woman says Mancini then began sexually assaulting her. She says she later woke up alone, sitting in a chair. She later reported the assault to police.

According to the criminal complaint, Mancini acknowledged that the victim was in no position to stop him “due to her level of intoxication.” He also said, “he felt bad about what he did.”

Mancini was arraigned Tuesday on two felony counts of 3rd-degree criminal sexual conduct and his bail was set at $50,000.
