Rochester Man Admits to Hit and Run
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- A Rochester man has admitted to a felony charge stemming from a hit-and-run that left a young girl with multiple injuries.
38-year-old Hussein Haaji has pleaded guilty to a criminal vehicular operation charge through an agreement with prosecutors that led to the dismissal of another felony count and a misdemeanor drunk driving charge.
He was behind the wheel of a car that struck an 11-year-old girl near Longfellow Elementary School last August. Police reports say the girl suffered broken bones and a head injury. Haaji, who is scheduled to be sentenced on May 15th, was arrested after investigating officers located his vehicle parked nearby.
