Rochester Home Burglarized While Owners Slept
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Rochester police officers are trying to find a bold thief or thieves.
A Rochester man contacted police Saturday morning to report his home had been burglarized - while he, his wife and grandkids were sleeping.
The man told officers another family member had left home around 2:00 AM. The man says the burglary happened within the next hour.
Items that were taken included a 65 inch TV, a laptop, jewelry, a purse and wallet - and an autographed Joe Mauer jersey. The value of the stolen items was put at $6,000.
Officers discovered a window screen had been cut to gain entrance to the home located in the 3400 block of 21st Ave NW. The thief or thieves left through a rear door.
