Rochester Firefighters Prevent Shed Fire From Spreading
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester firefighters battled a shed fire that could have consumed a garage at a southeast Rochester residence Saturday evening.
The fire was reported around 8:15 p.m at 129 20th Street Southeast. The fire department says the responding firefighters found a detached shed engulfed in flames and the fire spreading to a nearby detached garage.
The fire crews were largely able to contain the fire to the shed, but the siding on the backside of the garage suffered major damage. The shed was a total loss and the overall damage was estimated at about $20,000.
No one was injured and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
