Rochester Drug Dealer Sentenced to Prison
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - A Rochester man has been sent to prison for dealing drugs.
34-year-old Kyle Peterson was sentenced late last week to 65 months in prison for his conviction of a first-degree drug sales charge and a gross misdemeanor charge for illegal possession of a firearm. He earlier entered guilty pleas to the charges a few days before he was scheduled to go on trial through a plea deal that resulted in the dismissal of over a half dozen other felony drug charges.
Most of the charges against Peterson were connected to a police raid in December 2017 at a home that he shared with 30-year-old Jennifer Nou. Court records indicate police confiscated over a pound of cocaine, nearly a pound of marijuana, along with some Ecstasy, prescription pills, and $12,000 in cash. The couple had previously been charged in connection with another drug bust that occurred in September 2017 that resulted in the seizure of 80 grams of cocaine, 800 grams of marijuana, along with Ecstasy, heroin, and other drugs.
Nou is currently awaiting trial on charges stemming from both drug busts. Her case, along with many others, was put on hold due to the pandemic.
