Rochester City Council Rep Changes Mind On Re-Election Bid

Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A member of the Rochester City Council has done a 180 and decided NOT to run for another term.

Third Ward representative Nick Campion filed earlier for re-election but has since changed his mind.

Campion says “With careful consideration with my family, I’ve decided to withdraw from the election.”

He is married and the father of three sons.

Campion has been on the council since 2015. Filings for his seat and others up for election in November will be accepted through 5:00 pm Tuesday.
