Rochester, MN  (KROC AM News) - A search is on for a Rochester area man who is suspected of kidnapping and assaulting another man over a period of several hours

The victim was left at the Casey’s General Store near Pax Christi Church in northwest Rochester around 3:30 Tuesday morning. He was taken to St Marys Hospital for treatment of his injuries.

The 28-year-old man, who is from the Eyota area, told investigators he was picked up around 5 p.m. Monday by two men and driven to a residence in the 7400 block of North Broadway. One of the men accused the victim of stealing a relative’s car. The victim was tied up with duct tape and then hit repeatedly with a padlock inside a sock.

Olmsted County Sheriff’s office Capt Scott Behrns says deputies went to the residence where the victim had been held and arrested one of the suspects. He has been identified as 34-year-old Jamie Buck.
