Roads Are Getting Slick in Southeast Minnesota; Temps Are Already Falling
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Driving conditions are deteriorating across parts of southeast Minnesota as light freezing rain and snow are moving east across the region.
The National Weather Service says an inch or more of snow may accumulate before the system moves into Wisconsin Monday afternoon. Motorists are being urged to drive carefully and watch for slippery spots as roads are slowly being covered by snow.
Cold air is also moving into the region.
Temperatures were in the upper 20s in Albert Lea at 7:00 AM Monday. By 9:00 AM, they had fallen into the upper teens. The coldest weather of the season is expected Tuesday and Wednesday.
