The lightning deals were hard to resist during Amazon Prime Day in 2025.  Thanks to people having access ot the internet while they were at work, a record number of sales happened in 2025, bringing the total amount of online spending in the U.S. to $24.1 billion.  Yes...with a "b".

How bad are porch pirates today?  SafeWise reported that about 120 to 120.5 million packages are snatched from porches throughout the United States.  That number from 2023 shows that the porch pirates are working extra hard because in 2022, that number was 119 million, which was slightly less.
