Packers to Retire Favre’s Jersey on Thanksgiving

Well, it was leaked today that the Packers will be retiring Favre's #4 jersey on Thanksgiving Day this year.   In a leaked story, one of the dates release from the upcoming NFL schedule was a Packers/Bears game on Thanksgiving. Then it was later tweeted by someone at ESPN that the plan is to retire Favre's jersey then.

Whether you're a fan or not, it's a pretty big deal. This guy holds many NFL records, including:

• Passing Yards (71,838)
• Pass Completions (6,300)
• Pass Attempts (10,169)
• Interceptions (336)
• Starts by a Player (298)
• Wins by a Starting QB (186)

Again, fan or not, that's pretty impressive. I never hated Favre when we went to the Jets and the Vikings. The guy wanted to play football but it was apparent that the Packers moved on. So be it. I was glad they did but was fine with him going to the Vikings.

It was awesome watching him from the beginning of his career and some of the nail biter games he played. Some amazing moments in NFL history and though he wasn't the BEST in my opinion, he's still going to go down as ONE of the best.
