Overwhelming Response to Call For Help From Zumbro Falls
Zumbro Falls MN (KROC AM News) - Hear about the good news/bad news story coming out of Zumbro Falls?
The owners of the Heartbeet Farm lost their greenhouse to a fire early Monday. The owners and the operators of another small grow operation also lost all their newly planted veggies and equipment.
They were devastated and faced a rebuild job that would cost at least $15,000. They decided to turn to the GoFundMe folks with hopes of getting half the repairs covered through donations.
Talk about an overwhelming response.
Here’s a note from Jenny Perillo from GoFundMe’s communications office:
“Over 12k raised in one day for Heartbeet Farm in Zumbro Falls after devastating greenhouse fire “
In fact, as of Wednesday morning, donations were still coming in and now total more than $15,000 - the amount they needed to get up and running again!
