“Outstate” Minnesota Brewery Debuts Clever New Commercial [WATCH]

My wife is originally from Fergus Falls. Her family lives there still and -- whenever we go home to visit -- we always try to stop by a couple of our favorite breweries in town. One of those is Outstate Brewing Company. Located downtown Fergus Falls along the Otter Tail Reservoir, the Northwoods-themed taproom, spacious patio and panoramic view are among our favorites in Greater Minnesota. Many of the staff there are friends and acquaintances, and it's always a joy to catch up over a beer.

From the get-go, Outstate Brewing has had a strong presence in the community and online. Their marketing and advertising -- from photography to videography and even can designs and logos -- has always stood out as exceptional and professional. So it's really no surprise to me that they teamed up with a marketing company for a new 30-second television commercial advertising one of their flagship beers.

"We are loving our new Bucket Pale Ale Commercial!" the brewery posted on Facebook Wednesday. "Thank you Thicket Film Company! You knocked it out of the park!" The spot features a man fishing a quiet lake. A pail beside him is filled with ice and cans of Outstate Brewing's Bucket Pale Ale. He cracks one open and takes a sip before casting his rod into a mass of reeds; he struggles to untangle his hook. A narrator comments, "Yeah, he'll be doing this all day -- until one until one bucket's full or the other's empty."
