Olmsted County Authorities Investigating Chase and Gunfire
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Department is expected to release more information Thursday morning concerning a high speed chase in the Oronoco area Wednesday evening.
Reports indicate some law enforcement vehicles were damaged and shots were fired during the incident, which began when a State Trooper spotted a pickup truck that had been reported stolen on Tuesday and attempted to stop the vehicle. The pursuit ended along Olmsted County Road 12 after the pickup was driven into a farmfield.
At this point, it’s not known if the shots were fired by law enforcement officers or the occupants of the vehicle. No injuries were reported.
