Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - Two former Olmsted County commissioners have pleaded guilty to renting property without a required license.

Husband and wife Lou and Judy Ohly were written up earlier this year as part of a city crackdown on rental-related problems.

The two were scheduled to go on trial next week but instead worked out plea agreements with the city. Judy Ohly pleaded guilty to two violations and her husband pleaded to one case. The two were placed on probation for one year and fined $385 for each violation.

Assistant City Attorney Patricia Alfredson has been prosecuting the cases. She says some involve safety issues that put renters in danger, such as a lack of smoke detectors.
