Off-Duty Rochester Cop Helps Apprehend Fugitive
Rochester, MN (KROC AM News) - A wanted man was apprehended Wednesday thanks to a sharp-eyed off-duty Rochester police officer.
The officer was headed home around 5:30 PM when he spotted 38-year-old Adam Beliveau behind the wheel of a car. The officer contacted dispatch and followed Beliveau until a patrol officer pulled him over.
Beliveau was wanted on a Department of Corrections warrant for an apparent parole violation.
He got himself into even more trouble after a search of his vehicle turned up 140 grams of methamphetamine and evidence he had been selling the drug.
Beliveau was sentenced to 45 months in prison for a 2015 drug case in Dodge County.
