Nickelback Delve Into Dystopian Future With ‘Feed the Machine’ Video
What does the future hold? If Nickelback's video for "Feed the Machine" comes to life, it's a pretty bleak existence. The band just released the official video for their current single, which can be seen above.
In it, director Simian Design shows us a world in which the poor are left to scavenge for their existence, continually having to evade a masked unit of armored up authority figures, who are intent on rounding up the remaining humans. In this clip, two youths find themselves on the run with very different outcomes. Watch it all play out above.
"Feed the Machine" has entered the Top 10 at rock radio and is featured on the band's upcoming album of the same name. The disc drops on June 16 via BMG and can be pre-ordered via Amazon and iTunes.
You can look for Nickelback promoting the disc on their "Feed the Machine" tour this summer. The trek launches June 23 in Noblesville, Ind. and includes 45 dates along the way. Daughtry and Shaman's Harvest will join Nickelback on the run, with Cheap Trick hopping on for select dates in Canada.
