Disturbed have uploaded an image to their socials with the date "8/16/2018" on it. Last week they confirmed the completion of their new album in a statement that asked fans to choose whether they wanted a "ballad" or "heavy" song as the record's lead single. According to The PRP, "heavy" won by a significant amount.

The image, which you can see for yourself below, alludes to the first song from their upcoming LP dropping next Thursday (Aug. 16).

The following statement was revealed with their album completion announcement:

The new record is done! The new album includes many styles of music. Since our last album and the recent footage from the studio, we’ve seen a lot of discussion about the evolution of our new music. Disturbed Ones, we have decided to embrace the debate. For our next single – what kind of sound do you want it to be?

Recently, vocalist David Draiman took time during the band's set at Rockfest to comment on Vinnie Paul's death. He reminisced on their relationship, saying Paul had an "incredible heart" and "unbelievable level of musicianship." The band then begin playing a tribute to Paul, Dimebag Darrell and Pantera as a whole by covering "Walk."
