St Paul (KROC AM News) - They’re not even a month old but the two eaglets in the Minnesota DNR’s EagleCam nest are growing fast, and based on the video footage from this morning (posted below), they are already impressively potty trained.

They were just fluffballs when they broke out of their eggs in late March.

In less than two weeks, they were already moving around in their nest and periodically feeding themselves. They had a close call earlier this month when very strong winds rocked their nest for several hours.

They are left alone at times as the parents go for food, which is a non-stop job during daylight hours. The parents continue to add grass and twigs to the nest and have been fairly good at keeping it clean.

If they survive, the eaglets will likely fledge during the summer.

Video of the eaglets that was recorded Wednesday morning also cleared up a mystery for amateur bird watchers. What happens when the eaglets have to go to the bathroom while in a nest high in a tree? Watch below and find out:

Nice distance!

As they grow, Eagles learn to launch their poop (technically called mute) up to 10 feet horizontally, keeping the nest squeaky clean.
