There are several drinks you might think of when you think about which one might be Minnesota's 'most iconic,' but this survey's results kinda blow.

I don't know about you but I'd think something like a Bloody Mary, perhaps a Gin and Tonic or even my home state of Wisconsin's favorite (the Brandy Old Fashioned) might be Minnesota's 'Most Iconic' Drink, right?

Well, not according to the gang over at Buzzfeed. They just did a survey that lists the Most Iconic Drink in each state. And for us here in the Land of 10,000 Lakes, our Most Iconic Drink is... (wait for it)... the Beertini?

Nobody enjoys an adult beverage more than I do, but even I didn't know what a beertini was when I first read the story. It's also known as a 'Midwest Martini,' but that still stumped me. Do you know what it is?

According to Buzzfeed, Minnesota's 'Most Iconic' Drink is merely a pint of tap beer with a handful of green olives tossed it. Yep, that's it. No Sidecars, Mojitos or even Moscow Mule for us. We just get beer with olives. (Though, not there's anything wrong with it-- my grandma used to LOVE getting olives in her beer, and I don't mind it, either. But is it really a drink?!?)

Meanwhile, over in my home state of Wisconsin, it's no surprise what the Most Iconic Drink is there: the afore-mentioned Brandy Old Fashioned takes the top spot. Which makes sense-- they're EVERYWHERE back home.

At least our Most Iconic Drink here in Minnesota is better than Iowa's, though: Buzzfeed says theirs is... a can of Busch Light!
