
Minnesota Lawmaker Recovering From Power Saw Accident

Spring Lake Park, MN (KROC AM News) - A member of the Minnesota legislature is recovering after an accident involving a power saw.
According to information on a GoFundMe site, State Representative Erin Koegel lost control of the power saw she was using and cut off three fingers.

Fortunately, her brother's girlfriend was there. She is a trained EMT and “immediately helped get Erin stable and stop the bleeding.” Koegel was airlifted to a hospital where a doctor was able to re-attach one of the fingers.

Koegel is in her 3rd term representing House District 37A and lives with her husband and 2-year-old daughter in Spring Lake Park. The accident happened on Aug 22nd.
The GoFundMe site has a goal of $5,000.
