Minnesota Craft Beer Named One of 50 Best in America
It's one of Minnesota's many great craft brews-- and now it's been rated as one of the 50 Best Beers in the United States.
I'm guessing it's the Wisconsin in me coming out, but one of my favorite things to do is trying all the great local beers that are offered up by some incredible craft breweries that call Minnesota home.
Heck, we have some great craft breweries right here in Rochester-- from LTS Brewing, to Forager, Grand Rounds Brewing, Kinney Creek, Little Thistle Brewing and Thesis Beer Project. And they all brew some incredible beer.
But one Minnesota brewery, only about an hour and a half from Rah-Rah-Rochester has a beer that's been called one of the 50 Best Beers in the U.S. It's all part of a new survey from Men's Journal, which picked one brew they liked best from each of our 50 states.
And here in Minnesota, their survey chose the "Pahlay’ahlay," a tropical pale ale from the Fair State Brewing Cooperative in Minneapolis. According to Fair State's website, its described as a "A vibrant and tropical pale ale brewed with flaked oats and wheat, and Citra, Simcoe, and Denali hops," the site noted.
I've tried the Pahlay'ahlay myself, and agree it's a pretty good pale ale. Of course, in my book, Fair State's IPA is one of the best IPA's I've tried anywhere-- I love it, and buy it all the time. Check it out if you like a good-tasting, hoppy IPA-- even if it wasn't listed in this latest survey.
Either way, congrats, Fair State, on your latest online recognition!
