Mark your calendar for September 29th! That's next Thursday, in case you're wondering. On that day, Metallica is going to perform on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon!

Loudwire explains, "No other details have been revealed about the performance or the other guests for the evening, but the band currently has a hit single on their hands with the song “Hardwired,” which will need a bit of a language edit to get past TV standards. The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon airs at 11:35PM ET/PT on NBC." It's safe to say they'll probably bust out their new single.

Metallica's new album Hardwired... To Self Destruct is set for release on November 18th. Mark your calendar for that too! Word on the street is that they're set for a tour next year, but it remains to be seen if they'll be making their way back to Minnesota.
