Family-Owned Minnesota Business Needs Help Now Identifying Thieves
Sadly, theft is not uncommon at retail businesses, but those who choose to steal may not realize the full impact of their actions.
Studies show that shoplifting negatively impacts communities by contributing to higher prices, potential job losses, and increased financial burdens on families.
All these negative impacts can hit even harder when someone steals from a small, local, family-owned business, which is what happened recently in Minnesota. While the thieves have yet to be caught, there were several pictures captured that could lead to their identification.
Now, store owners have gone public with those photos, hoping the public can help.
Marine General Store In Marine On St. Croix Needs The Public's Help
Marine on St. Croix is a small city in Washington County, Minnesota, with a population of just 689 at the 2010 census. However, tourists love to visit the charming city, especially between April and October.

Marine on St. Croix is also where you'll find the Marine General Store, a 'family-owned and operated neighborhood grocery' that also happens to be the oldest continuously operating general store in the state of Minnesota.
According to the store's Facebook post, on Saturday, April 12, two individuals came to the store after it had closed and then proceeded to steal firewood. Surveillance cameras captured images of both individuals and their vehicle.
The driver, pictured below, was wearing a blue baseball cap.
The passenger of the vehicle, who is shown below, may have had facial hair, and they were wearing a shirt that appeared to say 'Twin Cities Siding Professionals'.
They were both in a what appears to be a white SUV-type vehicle. They exited the vehicle, loaded the stolen firewood, and drove away.
Store owners would appreciate the public's help in identifying the thieves who were captured on camera. Anyone with information related to this incident is encouraged to call the store at 651-433-2445.
