March For Our Lives Tour Stopping in Minnesota
The students behind the national March For Our Lives movement are making a stop in Minnesota this weekend. They kicked off a nationwide tour last week in Chicago. It's being called the Road to Change bus tour. Their goal? According to their website, it's to get as many young people as possible educated, registered, and motivated to vote.
Why Minnesota? According to their website, they're visiting a number of communities that have been affected by gun violence to meet fellow survivors. "They are calling for reforms that will save the lives of more than 3,000 young people each year, including implementing universal, comprehensive background checks; creating a searchable database for gun owners; funding the Centers for Disease Control to research gun violence so that reform policies are backed up by data; and banning high-capacity magazines and semi-automatic assault rifles."
