Rock Dell, MN (KROC AM) - The Olmsted County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an apparent suicide that was discovered in a remote area Friday afternoon.

Capt. James Schueller says a Mayo One crew spotted a car that was parked in a cornfield in the southwest part of the county near the Dodge County line.

Because it looked suspicious, the crew contacted the sheriff’s office and hovered over the car until deputies arrived. Schueller says they found a man’s body in the vehicle. He says it’s believed the 27-year-old died sometime Friday. The man was not an Olmsted County resident.

Schueller says the vehicle was not visible from nearby roads and may not have been found by the property owner until the fall harvest.
