Man Severely Injured in Fall from Downtown Rochester Balcony
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News) - Rochester Police say a man suffered critical injuries Friday night when he fell off a balcony along the Zumbro River in downtown Rochester.
A spokesman says the incident occurred just before 11 p.m. outside Legend’s Bar and Grill. Witnesses reported the 33-year-old man told people nearby to “watch this,” and then grabbed onto the railing and launched himself up and then over the railing as he possibly attempted a handstand. He fell about 20 feet and landed on the concrete path below and apparently suffered a significant head injury. At last report, he was in stable condition.
His name has not been released.
