Toronto, Ontario (Learfield) -- Minnesota forward Eric Staal's second-period goal turned out to be the game-winner as the Wild edged the Maple Leafs last night in Toronto, 3-2.
Jason Zucker and Chris Stewart scored for Minnesota, while goalie Devan Dubnyk, who started his 300th NHL game, stopped 35-of-37 shots in net. The Wild won their second straight game.
Ben Smith and Tyler Bozak each scored for Toronto in defeat. The Maple Leafs have dropped three in-a-row.
