A Kwik Trip rep once told me that proximity is one of the most important factors they consider when expanding. Each new store has to be close enough to receive daily shipments from Kwik Trip’s headquarters in La Crosse.

If you ever get the chance to tour Kwik Trip’s massive campus in La Crosse, you should. It is home to one of the largest bakeries in the entire world – Kwik Trip makes all of its bread, donuts, cookies, sandwiches, etc. at the facility and sends fresh truckloads to each of its stores daily. They also bottle their milk and make their own ice cream in La Crosse. This level of dedication to quality is one of many reasons why the convenience chain was recently recognized as the best in America.

Kwik Trip has a very loyal customer base.

How many other gas stations have a Facebook fan club with thousands of followers? Kwik Trip even sells apparel like T-shirts and hoodies. They just launched some new items like banana boxers, a KT hockey hoodie, and a really sweet retro glazers sweatshirt.
