Things are heating up here in Southeast Minnesota - just in time for a scorching hot weekend. It'll be the perfect time to be outside, but there's one thing that always gets in the way during a backyard bonfire or camping excursion:

BUGS.

Namely, our friend the mosquito.

Now, you don't want mosquitoes sucking your blood anywhere in your body, but definitely not on your face. It's even riskier if you're a bald dude like me! So odds are, you probably have a can of bug spray lying around somewhere.

But thanks to Lifehacker, I just learned a pretty snazzy trick for applying bug spray to your face.

First off, you don't want to put a can of bug spray next to your face and start blasting away. You could get spray in your eyes, breath it in, or even worse, have your beard taste like DEET. Not a fan!

So what should you do instead?

Spray the bug spray on the back of your hand before applying it on your face.

Not only can you be more selective about where you're applying the bug spray, but you also won't have sticky hands afterwards! GENIUS.

And more importantly, this is obviously a great way to tell mosquitoes to talk to the back of your hand.

*snap snap*

Mmmmmhmmmmm!
