If you or someone you know could use a little extra support this year, there's no faster way to the heart than through the stomach, am I right?

One local chef knows the importance of supporting those in need and is offering free meals on Christmas Eve. And furthermore, backing local charities in the process.

Youness Bojji has been a prominent chef in the area for quite some time. Formerly the owner of Casablanca and Chez Bojji. Now, you can find the culinary genius at one of Rochester's newest restaurants - 507 (Pub)lic House.

For several years, Chef Bojji, his wife, and their crew have been handing out these free meals and it was just posted on Facebook announcing that this year, they will continue the tradition.

"507 (Pub)lic House is proud to continue the great tradition that Chef Bojji & Amber Bojji started. We will be handing out free meals to anyone in need of one on the morning of Christmas Eve from 11am -2 pm. We are also looking for donations of cash, winter coats, gloves, socks, ect for our local charities. Cheers!"

Tell me that's not cool! Seriously, I can't get enough of these stories. Last week, we were talking about a Grinch that stole from a local restaurant but today, we're commemorating a family known for spreading kindness.

And, as you can see the giving doesn't stop at the meals. They are also collecting donations - winter wear, socks, cash, and more to donate to local charities. Bravo, Bojji's.

If you'd like to help hand out food, they are also looking for volunteers. Shoot them a message on their Facebook or call them at 507-206-3716 for more details.
