According to crime data and research done by the team at SafeWise, I've got the top 10 safest, and therefore some of the most peaceful, places to live in Minnesota.

They used information from the FBI, Bureau of Justice Statistics, US Census Bureau, and Gun Violence Archive to determine the safest places to live in Minnesota.

They also mention that the information weighed most heavily is the most recent crime data from the FBI.

How Safe is Minnesota Compared to Other States?

Before we get into the safest towns, how safe is Minnesota in general in comparison to other states across the country?

In October, WalletHub released their rankings of the safest states in the country and Minnesota made the top 10!

The 10th safest state was Wyoming, followed by Rhode Island. Minnesota came in as the 8th safest state. Then Hawaii, Connecticut, and Massachusetts at 7, 6, and 5.

4th place goes to Utah, 3rd to New Hampshire, 2nd to Maine, and the number one safest state is Vermont.
