Better Than the Original? I Tried Kwik Trip’s New KWIKZ and WANNABEES
Kwik Trip is famous for producing many of its own high-quality products right at its massive headquarters in La Crosse, Wisconsin.
Their facility is home to one of the largest bakeries in the world, churning out fresh bread, cookies, and donuts daily. America's Favorite Gas Station makes everything from pizza and sandwiches to its own signature chips, candies, milk, and ice cream.

If you've ever stepped inside a Kwik Trip, you've seen the URGE brand. Did you know this is a company line? Kwik Trip launched URGE in 1987 to offer guests snacks with "big flavor and personality." While they are famous for their chips, they’ve recently expanded their candy selection.
Kwik Trip's Newest Additions
Earlier this year, Kwik Trip introduced two new additions to its snack lineup across more than 900 Midwest locations: KWIKZ, which looks like a Twix bar, and WANNABEES, a play on the classic Snickers.
The Taste Test
KWIKZ: The candy bar is split into two little logs, so it looks and feels a lot like a Twix bar, and it does provide a great crunch and easily satisfies a caramel-cookie craving. It is not a direct copy of Twix, though. The flavor is slightly different.
WANNABEES: This candy bar does look a lot like a Snickers and contains the classic combination of peanuts, nougat, and caramel, but again, not a true copy of Snickers.
Both are really good, but they are not exact replicas of the name brands. To me, they tasted a little less sweet than the originals, which I actually enjoyed. You'll notice a difference right away, but you might find you actually prefer Kwik Trip’s version.
