Kirk Cousins' Season-Ending Injury

Back in October, the Vikings were playing the Packers at Lambeau Field when Kirk tore his Achilles tendon.

It ended his season early and about three months ago he had surgery to fix the tear.

Kirk Cousins Wonders if His Cleats Caused the Injury

Kirk was on The Pat McAfee Show on Thursday where he talked about his injury. He mentioned in the interview that he wonders if his cleats are the reason the injury happened.

He said at Lambeau there's a tendency to slip a lot on that field. So he decided to wear longer spikes on his cleats called 'screw-ins'. His theory is that he was slipping and because the longer spikes stuck in the ground while the rest of his body slipped that's why his Achilles tendon tore.

I'd say that's a pretty good theory. Kirk also said he's probably not going to wear screw-ins again. Probably a good call.

Will Kirk Cousins Return to the Minnesota Vikings?

During the interview, they also talked about if he's going to be coming back to the Vikings. He said, "Honestly, I'd love to be back in Minnesota. But even Minnesota, those conversations don't start yet. It's more late February, early March." So we'll have to wait and see.

Kirk Cousins 'Gnarly' Post-Surgery Scar

In the meantime, Kirk is healing from this surgery. Evidently, it's going well because of the video going around of him dancing to 'Pony' at the NFL Honors.

And during the Pat McAfee interview, he showed off his 'gnarly' scar.

He seems to be in good spirits and hopefully the healing continues to go well!
