Guy Fieri Confesses His Ultimate Favorite Midwest Food City
Guy Fieri has been traveling up and down and all around the country for two decades, filming episodes of Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives for the Food Network.
During that time, he’s visited hundreds of restaurants, including dozens right here in Minnesota. From the Twin Cities to Duluth, the Mayor of Flavortown has put the spotlight on the Land of 10,000 Lakes, highlighting everything from our legendary Jucy Lucys to world-class wood-fired pizzas.

The team at Tasting Table said during a chat with Madison and Carly Shapiro, two of the sisters behind the popular social media restaurant review account Sistersnacking, the celebrity chef was asked to name his favorite state to visit from his years hosting Triple D.

Guy didn't pick Minnesota. In fact, he didn't even pick a state. Instead, he blurted out Chicago. "Chicago to me is a big-little city. It's easy to get around, there's a lot of culture, there's a lot of history... I don't know, there's just something about it."
Despite picking the Windy City, we know Minnesota still holds a special place in his heart. In fact, Guy recently released a list of his top 15 burger joints in America, and St. Paul's legendary restaurant, The Nook, was featured. Fieri said, “The Nook is off the Hook,” recognizing their cheese-stuffed burgers as some of the best in the entire country.
That’s not the only local spot he raves about, either. When Fieri dropped his personal list of the Top 7 pizzas in America, Pizzeria Lola in Minneapolis didn't just make the cut; it was the only pizzeria in the nation to have two different pies land on his top seven list.
The face of the Food Network has officially named his favorite restaurants in each state. See his 5 must-try joints in Minnesota below.
