Dave’s Hot Chicken Expanding With New Locations in Minnesota

A year ago, we shared news about Kris Humphries' latest endeavor. The Minnesota native gained recognition as a high school basketball star, received the Big 10 Freshmen of the Year award, enjoyed a career spanning over 10 years in the NBA, had a brief marriage with Kim Kardashian, and is now in the restaurant business.

The Humphries family owns several 5 Guys restaurants in Minnesota and Wisconsin and now they're in the spicy chicken business. Kris is excited about the new restaurant and calls the food, "the best chicken ever."

What Is Dave's Hot Chicken?

Dave's Hot Chicken, a west-coast chain founded in Los Angeles, specializes in fiery chicken and has over 100 locations in four countries.

Their menu is simple with options like tenders, tenders on a bun, or sliders. You can also get sides like fries, mac and cheese, and kale slaw.

The Takeout says it's popular because "The chicken is juicy, the seasoning doesn't pull back on flavor, and the sides complement the poultry without overshadowing it."

Where Is Dave's Hot Chicken Opening in Minnesota?

Minnesota's first Dave's Hot Chicken is open in Minnetonka at 1805 Plymouth Rd. Suite #104. And there's more to look forward to – a new Dave's spot is gearing up for its grand opening this Friday.

The St. Paul location at 1959 Ford Parkway opens on Friday. According to Bring Me The News, Dave's Hot Chicken is also set to replace the former Dairy Queen in Apple Valley (Cedar Avenue and 150th Street West) and another location is planned for Maple Grove.
