CAUGHT ON VIDEO: Small Iowa Town Hit Directly By Tornado
The Heartland has been hit. Friday was a day of severe weather and before the storm even got to Iowa, ABC News reported that 25 tornadoes were spotted in Nebraska, Texas, and Kansas. And then, Mother Nature decided to step it up a bit and show the world one of the biggest tornadoes I've ever seen in my lifetime. Unfortunately, that hit parts of Nebraska and continued on to Iowa, leaving a path of destruction.
One town in Iowa was hit head on and one video caught the tornado in action as it started to destroy the buildings people called home. I have it in the story for you below but just know, it is a tough video to watch.

Small Iowa Town of Minden Took a Direct Hit From The Tornado on Friday
I'm at a loss of words. As I was writing this story, the tornado continued to move into Iowa and appears to have hit the small town of Minden. This is home to about 600 people and according to Wikipedia, it has had a post office since 1875. It is hard to know at this point what is left of the town but some are stating that Minden took a direct hit.
