Although we don't have any snow right now in Southeast Minnesota, and it looks like our Christmas is going to be one where you could mow your lawn, igloos have been spotted.
Magical Igloos That You Can Rent Are Back in Southeast Minnesota!
Years ago, way before the pandemic hit our world, there were some fun igloos that sat on top of Terza in Rochester, Minnesota. It was such a fun and magical way to have a date night or hang out with friends. Unfortunately, a city ordinace got in the way and our fun, trendy spot was removed.
FYI, these really need to show up in Rochester again somewhere...seriously, why aren't we doing this? Over 3,000 people signed a petition to bring these back and change the ordinance that canceled their existence...and yet, we have none. #Frustrating Here are a few of the comments people posted 6 years ago when this drama happened in our town.
While we keep waiting for Rochester to jump back in on this trend and allow for these to show up again...and wait...and wait...go throw your money at another town in Southeast Minnesota that has brought their igloos back for a second year!
Rent An Igloo in Mantorville, Minnesota For A Unique Night Out
Last year, Hidden Pines Bar & Grill in Mantorville, Minnesota created a fun and magical experience for all of us to enjoy in the winter. Now, we had some snow to go with the igloos so it looked a little bit wintery but until that shows up, just close your eyes real hard and imagine you are surrounded by the fluffy white stuff.
Order food, drinks, bring a few games to enjoy with those you are hanging out with, and have a magical moment together!
How Much Is It To Rent The Igloos in Mantorville, Minnesota?
The igloos are available in 2-hour time blocks (1 hour and 45 minutes to enjoy, 15 minutes to clean) and are available at the scenic Zumbro Valley Golf Course. (Get directions to Hidden Pines Bar & Grill.). You can see the sizes and prices below:
- The smaller igloo is called the "Birdie". That will fit about 4 to 6 of your friends and it rents for $10 to $15, depending on the day.
- The larger igloo is called the "Eagle". That fits about 6 to 8 people and rents for $15 to $20, depending on the day.
