Epic Rochester Halloween Display Raises Over $10,000 for Channel One Food Bank
Our community has stepped up in numerous ways this past week to show compassion to those facing food insecurity due to SNAP benefits ending in Minnesota due to the government shutdown. Little free pantries have been shared and filled, an entire room of food donations were provided in about 24 hours for The Salvation Army's Food Shelf.
But there is one more display of compassion that I witnessed today that was so amazing to see. Here's what happened...

Biggest Rochester Mom Fail Discovered on Halloween Night
I had a big mom fail. I was chatting with my daughter while we were waiting for trick-or-treaters and kept going on and on about the house with all of the inflatables in Rochester. I should have known by the look on her face that she wasn't following the chat very well...and it wasn't her fault. Turns out, the place that I've been telling everyone about on the radio, on our website and social media this Halloween season is a place she has never seen.
Boyer Halloween. This is THE epic Halloween house in Rochester on 51st Street NW that everyone has been talking about. While I've been hyping it up, apparently, I've missed taking my own flesh and blood to see it.
After our house got quiet, my daughter and I got in the car and set out to see the Boyer Halloween display in Rochester. I was still somewhat convinced that maybe I really did bring her at one point to see this massive Halloween display.
As we got close, my daughter said, "Yeah, I've never seen this before. I would have remembered this."
Boyer Halloween Display in Rochester, MN Makes Huge Impact For People In Need
As we walked through the display on Halloween night, my daughter heard the number "162" mentioned as the number of inflatables used for the display. 162!
While the number of inflatables is extremely impressive and takes so much dedication, what made me stop during the maze wasn't a ghost or a skeleton. It was a sign at the end.
I've been encouraging people not just to stop by the Boyer Halloween display but to make sure you've got a few bucks with you or your Venmo handy. The reason is that the Boyer Halloween house is more than just inflatables. This Halloween display is helping raise money for the Channel One Regional Food Bank.
According to the sign at the end of the maze, over $9,192 was raised for Channel One Regional Food Bank as of October 30th. I had a feeling that this number would end up hitting 5 digits...and it did!
Happy Halloween!
Even with the weather, it was still a fun night! Many new visitors, along with seeing a bunch of old friends.
Tonight we raised $1,157.08!
New record now sits at $10,450.03!
Our last night of being powered up is tomorrow from 6 to 9:30. Don’t miss the last opportunity to see Boyer Halloween 2025 and to donate to Channel One. - Boyer Halloowen Facebook Page
If you missed checking out the display this year...or maybe your mom never took you to see the Boyer Halloween house and you are now just finding out...you have one more night to see it.
If you would like to help increase that number even more on the donation board, you can still easily donate (at any time!) to Boyer Halloween through Venmo.
