Remove This Item Now From Minnesota Yards!
I know that the weather is AMAZING right now in Minnesota. Kids are wearing shorts. A few perennials are starting to pop up in yards and it feels like grilling weather already, but the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources has a big ask. "Removing feeders now is the best way to avoid creating conflicts with bears. Birdseed has lots of calories and can be enticing for a hungry bear. Even if a bear can’t reach your feeder, the sight and smell can still attract them to your house, where they may find other attractants such as trash, compost or pet food. Now is the time to ensure you’ve thoroughly secured all attractants at your home, on your garage and around your property."
