You know those videos that pop up on social media that make you go "Ahhhhh!"? One of those popped up on Wednesday night that is now going viral. The cool thing is...it was filmed right here in Minnesota.

On my bucket list for 2024 is to see a black bear in Minnesota. Not at the Minnesota Zoo or Como Zoo but in another safe way...like from the back door and through the window at my house. There is a possibility that my wish could come true because black bears were in my neighborhood last summer. I have bees on my property, hives full of honey, and cameras set up just in case bears show up on my street again. That dream may happen sooner rather than later.
A few weeks ago, news broke that the black bears were waking up in Minnesota and several sightings were already happening in mid-March. Southeast Minnesota has only had one sighting so far but the Twin Cities area and surrounding is getting pretty active. You can see the current bear sighting map and report one at the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources website.

Latest Bear Sighting of Mom and Four Cubs in Minnesota Caught on Video
I'm a bit in love with bear sightings and I'm pretty sure Facebook knows that because a video posted by WDIO popped up for me Wednesday night. According to the post, Amber Haglund-Pagel spotted a momma bear and four cubs in Duluth.
