Lion Escaped From Circus and Wandered Around Italy Town For Several Hours
On Saturday, a huge lion escaped from a circus in Italy and took a stroll around town. It took seven hours, but the authorities were able to close in, and sedate it with a tranquilizer dart.

Escaping The Circus Life
An escaped lion from an Italian circus sparked panic in the seaside town of Ladispoli as it roamed the streets for around seven hours before it was recaptured.
The lion, named Kimba, was eventually sedated using an anesthetic dart and taken back to the Rony Roller Circus. Kimba was captured on camera by local residents wandering the town, casually bypassing homes, fences, and even a police car.
What The Lion Trainer Had To Say
Rony Vassallo, the animal supervisor, and trainer at the circus, expressed his confusion about how the lion escaped from its metal enclosure.
"What happened is very strange...All we can say is that a lion does not have the ability to open a latch and break a lock..."

Investigation
The unusual incident has prompted local authorities to investigate, questioning how Kimba managed to get out of the metal enclosure. Alessandro Grando, the mayor of Ladispoli, revealed via a Facebook post that he would ask council experts to examine if there were valid grounds to revoke the permits of the Rony Roller circus.
This incident sparked sympathy amongst some of the town's residents. "I am sorry, because it is in prison. It should be in its environment, the savannah," said Ladispoli resident Giuseppe Altavilla, expressing solidarity with Kimba.
The circus was permitted to stay in Ladispoli from November 9th to 19th. The future of these plans, however, might be uncertain, pending the results of the local council's investigation.
