State Patrol: Woman Fleeing Red Wing Police Injured After PIT Maneuver Results in Crash
Red Wing, MN (KROC-AM News)- A fleeing motorist suffered injuries at the end of a police pursuit in southeast Minnesota.

That’s according to the State Patrol, which responded to the crash shortly after 2:45 Friday afternoon.
The Red Wing Police Department was in pursuit of the vehicle, the State Patrol says.
Driver Accused of Fleeing Red Wing Police Crashes After PIT Maneuver in Goodhue County
The pursuit-ending crash occurred at the intersection of Goodhue County Roads 1 and 53, which is about eight miles southwest of Red Wing.
Officers and the driver were heading north on County Rd. 1 when police executed a pursuit intervention technique that caused the suspect vehicle to roll into the ditch north of the intersection, according to the state crash report.
Fleeing Suspect Identified, Taken to Hospital
37-year-old Amanda Rae Burr of Welch was identified as the suspect driver. The State Patrol says she was taken to the hospital in Red Wing with non-life-threatening injuries.
Burr was not buckled up and a test to determine whether or not she was under the influence of alcohol is pending according to the state crash report.

The report does not say why Red Wing police were in pursuit of Burr.
Red Wing Fire and Ambulance, the Goodhue County Sheriff’s Office, Goodhue Fire and Zumbrota Ambulance also responded to the crash.
