Temporary Closure Planned for One of Rochester’s Busiest Parking Ramps
Rochester, MN (KROC-AM News)- One of downton Rochester’s busiest parking ramps will temporarily close on Monday.

The City of Rochester Transit & Parking Department says the closures allow crews to perform routine Springtime maintenance on the ramp.
The maintenance work includes power washing, painting and other needed repairs, the news release says.
Civic Center Parking Ramp in Downtown Rochester to Temporarily Close
Officials are planning to close Mayo Civic Center parking ramp for two days beginning Monday, April 30. The entry gates will stay down starting at 5 a.m. Monday and all vehicles must be out of the ramp by 5:00 Monday morning.
Vehicles left in the ramp after Monday morning’s deadline will be towed at the owner’s expense, a news release issued by the city says.
The ramp will be closed for the remainder of the day Monday and all day on Tuesday. The parking structure is scheduled to reopen by 5:00 Wednesday morning.
City officials say users of a monthly parking pass will be able to access other city ramps at no additional charge. The Civic Center Ramp is the first one up for the regular maintenance.
Each year the city closes each of ramps for the spring cleanup. The Civic Center Ramp is typically the only one to close for cleaning and maintenance during the week.
A City of Rochester spokesperson says the schedule for maintenance-related closures of the city’s other ramps will be announced at a later time.
