Armed Suspect in Minnesota Murder, Home Invasion Arrested
St. Paul, MN (KROC-AM News)- Police in St. Paul say an armed man who’s believed to have invaded a home is also suspected of fatally shooting another man.
A news release from the St. Paul Police Department says officers responded to the report of an unconscious man in the capital city’s greater eastside neighborhood around 9:30 Wednesday morning. The first officers to arrive found a man suffering from a possible gunshot wound.
Medics from the St. Paul Fire Department responded and pronounced the man dead. Police say the preliminary investigation ruled the man’s death a homicide and also connected his suspected killer to an incident Tuesday night in which the suspect entered an occupied home with a gun before being arrested by members of the St. Paul SWAT Team.
The suspect in the murder and home invasion is identified as 26-year-old Tevon King. He is being held on suspicion of murder, police say.
The Ramsey County Medical Examiner will conduct an Autopsy to ID the apparent gunshot victim and determine his official cause of death. The suspected fatal shooting is the 17th homicide in St. Paul this year.
