3rd Ave. SE Bridge in Downtown Rochester to Close for Over One Month Starting July 6

Starting Monday, July 6, the 3rd Ave. SE bridge between Rochester City Hall and the Mayo Civic Center will close in both directions.

The closure is to allow crews to complete regular maintenance on the bridge and to create a “safer, more comfortable and more accessible experience for pedestrians,” the news release says.

Crews are anticipated to finish the work by mid-August.

Detour Route

Due to the ongoing 2nd St. SE closure, the detour route will be 4th St. SE, South Broadway Ave. and East Center St. The sidewalks on the 3rd Ave. SE bridge will also be closed.
