One of Minnesota's newer holiday traditions announced its 2023 plans, calling this year's festival "brighter than ever".

The GLOW Holiday Festival is preparing for its fourth year of festive, light-filled fun!

Starting as an event at the Minnesota State Fairgrounds in 2020 as a pandemic-friendly drive-through event, organizers pivoted to a walking event at the fairgrounds for 2021 with food, beverages, vendors, and lots of light displays!

For 2022, the event moved to CHS Field in St. Paul, home of the St. Paul Saints. The 2022 event did a great job of embracing the concourse of the stadium in conjunction with the field to create a multi-level lights experience with food, beverages, and lots of frosty family fun.

The 2023 GLOW Holiday Festival returns to CHS Field, with tickets now on sale for this year's event.

What can you expect at the GLOW Holiday Festival in 2023?

This year's attraction will once again be a walk-through event at CHS Field.

Over one million lights create multiple features visitors will be able to tour as part of the experience. From an enchanted forest to "glitter critters", a giant tree, and beyond, there will be a lot of beautiful light displays to enjoy.

In addition to the light displays, enjoy food and beverages (including alcoholic beverages for the adults) and attractions like Vixen's Zipline, Reindeer Run Maze, the Penguin Playground, and Snowy Slide. There's even a S'mores area and Santa will be on hand!

The event is outdoors so you do have chilly winter weather to contend with, but there are warming areas to thaw out a little before continuing your experience if you find yourself getting chilled.

When is the 2023 GLOW Holiday Festival?

This year's GLOW Holiday Festival opens to the public on Thursday, November 16, and will be open on select dates through December 31. On the nights the event is open, visitors will be able to enjoy the festival from 5 pm to 9 pm.

The way that the event works is that you purchase tickets for an entry window. You will need to enter the festival within the hour for which your tickets were purchased. Once you're in, you can enjoy for as long as you'd like.

The event's website says most people spend an hour to an hour and a half at the event but, they say you're welcome to stay until it closes at 9 pm.

You can learn more about this year's event, the dates they are open, and get tickets on their website.
